Outside of college (Indiana University - Go Hoosiers?!), there wasn’t another time in my life where I didn’t have a pet in the house. I still remember all of my pet’s names. Admittedly, most were dogs: Maxwell (Maltese), Bosco (American Eskimo Spitz), Skyler (Miniature Schnauzer), Gordon (Beagle), Fee (Ferret), Paris (Cairne Terrier - just like “Toto” from The Wizard of Oz!, Harper (Australian Aussie-Doodle), and Ike (Beagle).

Just think about it: Outside of having humans in your life, your pets are always there for you, through thick and thin.

When you come home of a day, your pet often leads the way EVEN before your family even opens the door for you. Their little cold, wet nose might even push the door open for strangers once you start to open it. After that, they may rub that cold nose against you, jump onto the couch, and roll over for a belly rub and expect you to scratch, scratch, SCRATCH!

They don’t judge you, don’t care about your day. They only care that you come home in one piece to snuggle them.
